Whisper-quiet hidden-pocket shades that manage heat, glare, and privacy without interrupting the sightlines your architect drew.
Most residential shading — even expensive residential shading — arrives in exposed fascia boxes, on visible tracks, with audible motors and fabric that hangs a quarter-inch off the glass. It looks installed. It reveals the mechanism. It interrupts the architecture.
At the same time, the problems shades exist to solve are real: afternoon glare that bleaches art, heat gain that overwhelms HVAC, neighbors whose sightlines your architect did not plan around. The shading question is never whether to have them — it is whether you should see them.
We collaborate with your architect and GC during rough framing — before drywall is even on the studs — to detail a shade pocket above every window head. The pocket vanishes into the ceiling plane. When the shade is retracted, the window is visually infinite. When lowered, the fabric falls on a dedicated plane an inch off the glass, eliminating rattling and light-leak.
Every shade runs on a Lutron Sivoia QS Triathlon motor — 42dB maximum noise, synchronized to 1/4" across banks of up to 20. Fabric is specified by elevation: 3% openness on north-facing rooms for view-through, 1% on west-facing to defeat afternoon glare, blackout cassettes on bedrooms and theaters.

4:48pm, mid-September. Shades at 37% on the west elevation — enough to tame the sun, not enough to lose the horizon.

A well-specified shading package is one of the most impactful thermal interventions in a home. We routinely measure 8–14°F reductions in western-facing rooms at peak solar load, with corresponding HVAC runtime cut by 20–30%. Art is protected from UV. Carpet and upholstery colors last decades instead of years.
Shades close on schedules driven by local astronomic data, indoor temperature targets, and occupant presence. You will notice them less with each passing season — which is the goal.

The modern luxury home runs 200+ connected devices. Most are secured with nothing but the default password their vendor shipped. We take cybersecurity seriously in a way that residential integrators historically have not — and we do it as a permanent service, not a one-time install.
